“As someone who works in the medical world, I’m assuming I have a different perspective when I have to visit a doctor than other non-medicine industry patients. I know how busy it can be, and how important it is to have a fully functioning machine of a team to keep things running smoothly, all while making sure each patient is taken care of properly and given time to address their individual issue. That being said, I have to give HUGE kudos to Dr. Jason Pirozzolo and Key West Concierge Orthopedics. When I was in town and twisted my ankle, I thought for sure I had fractured something. I looked up urgent cares thinking there was no way I could get to see an orthopedic specialist, but to my surprise Dr. Pirozzolo was available same day, and is an ortho specialist!! I went in the middle of the day, and didn’t have much of a wait before I was taken to a room and greeted by a fellow PA and Dr. Pirozzolo. After he examined my ankle, he didn’t think anything was fractured, but since I felt some pain he recommended an X-ray just to be sure. I was shocked at how quickly I was in and out of the X-ray room, and the X-ray tech was really sweet. Thankfully nothing was broken and I just ended up with a pretty purple bruise. Again, I just wanted to commend Dr. Jason Pirozzolo and Key West Concierge Orthopedics! What a great team. Thank you for your care and your help!”

“While visiting in Key West, I had to visit them last year for the flu and the staff was amazing and Dr. Jason Pirozzolo. He is an amazing doctor and give you the best care and undivided attention and follow up!!! This past week Feb. 19, 2025 I had a bad fall crossing the highway too fast with wide leg pants and they got hung up and I fell. My right side in bad shape and right hand swollen and in allot of pain. I went to Advanced Urgent care and Kendall RN took me back and started everything on me. Treated the worn on my elbow first. Rebekah NP took care of me getting me to X-rays in hand, wrist, and ribs.Kendall put my splint in and showed me how to wear it. Sherry did all scans and do great and all of them so nice and caring and did a great job. They gave me shots for inflammation , swelling and pain. The next day I was to go back at 8am for Dr. Jason to read my X-rays and said he was concerned with hand and had me do a CT Scan.
It is fractured and he told me to wear splint and do not take it off. See an orthopedic hand doctor when I go home. He gave me detailed paper work to know about how heal it and what to do and not to do and eat, vitamins to start taking and how to care for hand. He is the Best doctor!!! I wish he was in our area. The entire staff there are all great and the front desk staff Kelly was great to me at front desk too. I recommend them completely!!!

“I have used Advanced Urgent Care several times and have always had a great experience. I recently fell off a ladder and broke my arm/wrist on a Saturday evening. On Sunday morning I went to AUC, was seen promptly and treated by the best orthopedist I have ever had. "Dr. Jason" diagnosed a bad break near my wrist, splinted my arm until the swelling subsided, and sent me for an MRI to assess soft tissue damage. Wen he casted my arm the next day, he discussed the pros and cons of surgery, listened to my questions and answered them thoughtfully. He gave me a written plan for follow up care at the time of my first visit that was tailored to my injury and my profession - a lawyer. Over the years, I have liked the various doctors I have met with, and the nursing staff members are well-trained and delightful, especially Donna. The office is open 7 days a week and has a lab with X-rays and a CT scanner. The only weak spot might be the front office, which often seems a bit understaffed and sometimes does not fully understand what my insurance pays. But that is minor, and overall visits there have been pleasant, with skilled and attentive care, and great follow-up.”

“I recently fell off a ladder onto concrete and broke my arm/wrist when I instinctively put out my hand to break my fall. I faced the choice seeing a doctor I not met and knew nothing about or going to the ER, where I would typically spend many hours, have a big bill, and might not even see the doctor who read my images and wrote discharge instructions. Luckily, I was able to see Dr. Jason the next morning, and what a terrific experience! Beyond question, he was best orthopedist who has ever treated me - and I have seen quite a few in my many decades of sports injuries and slip-and-falls. While several have been skilled surgeons, many - perhaps most - have had bedside manners ranging from poor to insufferably arrogant. Dr. Jason diagnosed a bad break near my wrist, splinted my arm until the swelling subsided, and sent me for an MRI to assess soft tissue damage. When he set my arm after the MRI, he discussed the pros and cons of surgery, listened to my questions, and answered them thoughtfully. He gave me a written plan for follow up care at the time of my first visit that was tailored to my injury and my profession - a lawyer. (I promptly took the suggestion of acquiring voice-recognition software for my long days at a computer.) At my most recent follow-up appointment, about 8 weeks out, he went over which exercises I could do, which to avoid for another month, and why. Dr. Jason does not force a choice between choosing to see a kind and caring doctor or the one with the best skill set - he is the whole package. I will not go to anyone else for ortho injuries as long as we can keep him in Key West. I hope not to need him again, but I am certainly telling all my friends about my great experience with him.”

X rays were done in no time, and then I met Dr. Jason Pirozzolo and his team, who were basically the orthopedic version of a pit crew: fast, friendly, and totally on top of things. I had been dealing with issues in my hand and nerves and was originally sent to Miami. I been an aggressive athlete with my body and after years of jiujitsu and flag football with CrossFit, my shoulder has some tendinitis. "Dr Jason Pirozzolo and Kelly Grzybowski , NP provided me with exceptional care when I came into Advanced Urgent Care with fevers, chills, and back pain. The nurse first placed an IV (to only stick me once), drew blood off the IV, gave me fluids for I was severely dehydrated, and they did a renal ultrasound. The imaging showed I had an infected kidney stone ~24mm in size, and both Dr. Jason & Kelly, NP recommended I go to the hospital for IV antibiotics and intervention. Their guidance, care and advice saved my kidney from failing, for the ureter was blocked causing hydronephrosis. I ended up having surgery at Kendall hospital in Miami to remove the stone. These providers showed compassion and understanding. While other providers back home had just given me antibiotics for UTI-like symptoms, Dr. Jason & Kelly, NP knew imaging was necessary. They even contacted me while I was in the hospital to see how I was doing. I am so incredibly thankful for these providers here in Key West!"

"I've been in to see Dr. Pirozzolo at OHSA before, but this time was for my hand. Recently, I had issues opening my palm fully, turns out it was trigger finger. I was hoping I didn't need surgery, and know Dr. Pirozzolo would be honest with me. Luckily, he said an injection to help with the release should do the trick! It was pretty fascinating to watch. "The whole team at OHSA were great! It was my first time seeing Dr. Pirozzolo so I wasn't sure what to expect. But the moment I walked in the wonderful lady at the front desk attended to me right away. My appointment was at 8am but I got there at 7:30 to do paperwork and the waiting room was already full of people. They were being called back right away so my wait time was not long at all and I was taken back before 8. Once I was called back the x-ray technician took x-rays of my hands and had me in the doctors office literally in minutes. My primary doctor told me the pain in my hands were caused by age (I'm only 49) and there is nothing he can do for me about the swelling and pain. Dr Pirozzollo told me exactly what was wrong with my hands and fingers and was able to give me a shot that would relieve all the pain and swelling I was experiencing. To top that he said it was not a temporary fix. With proper care I should no longer feel pain again. A far cry from what my primary doc said."

"Dr. Jason Pirozzolo and the staff at Orlando Hand Surgery are wonderful! From waiting a short 5 minutes in their welcoming and clean sitting area, then being escorted by friendly staff to meet my doctor. Dr. Pirozzolo quickly evaluated why my thumb has been aching the last couple months, he explained it clearly so that I could understand I had severe arthritis in not one but two of the joints. He also went through my treatment options from injections all the way to surgery and the possible outcomes. Since I wanted to avoid surgery as long as possible, I went in a week later for PRP injections into both joints. Injections into joints aren't fun, but here I am, 2 weeks later and my thumb feels so much better! I highly recommend Dr. Pirozzolo and exploring alternate treatment options if you're trying to put off surgery. It's not often you meet a doctor that really cares and is so knowledgeable. "I visited Dr. Jason Pirozzolo at OHSA a few weeks ago for elbow pain that had been bothering me for months. I can not explain how happy I was when he told me he could help me in a single visit. Dr. Pirozzolo was right, he gave me an injection and I am back to playing tennis! The office staff was wonderful. The only problem I had was a mix up with the registration so I had to wait a little bit before being called back. I mentioned that to Dr. Pirozzolo just thinking he would say sorry and that would be it... but 2 weeks later I get a hand written card in the mail from Dr. Pirozzolo checking on my elbow and apologizing again for the wait. I told Dr. Pirozzolo that I was scared to have surgery on my elbow and was praying he had another solution. It started to feel tinges of pain and very stiff while playing tennis. Dr. Pirozzolo told me to look up Platelet Rich Plasma or PRP Therapy, to think about it, and get back to him if it sounded like something I wanted to try. I called him the same afternoon to set up a procedure. Removing the blood was painless, and when he re-injected the PRP it felt like any other injection - such an easy experience! Now I have no pain and my elbow doesn't feel stiff anymore. I highly recommend Dr. Jason Pirozzolo and OHSA for anything joint related!"

"A friend of mine recommended Dr. Jason Pirozzolo at Orlando Hand Surgery Associates for PRP injections, and boy was I happy when I could see him shortly after for my own PRP injections! I wasn't too keen on committing to surgery to fix my shoulder, I've been having pain and was fearful that cartilage was wearing away slowly. I love going to the gym and lifting weights and I knew surgery would keep me out of the gym for too long. Non-surgical treatments sounded like a much better fit for what I was looking for and Dr. Pirozzolo could do just that for me. "I fractured my wrist while snowboarding in March 2017. I was fairly devastated when it happened and scared to under go necessary surgery. "Visited Orland Hand Surgery and was lucky to be placed in the care of Dr. Pirozzolo. My wrist and forearm had been bothering me lately and he found out that I actually was dealing with a sprain! Luckily, it was something that a simple wrist splint could heal, but since I had gone so long without getting my wrist looked at, he also told me about different exercises to regain strength and to keep my wrist flexible. Dr. Pirozzolo is very kind and thorough with his evaluation. He even called me a couple days later to make sure I was keeping up with my exercise routines."

"I had a very severe injury to my right hand. I cut my hand/pinky/ring finger down to the bone (30-40 stitches), could not move it or have much feeling in the finger. "Dr. Pirozzolo was fantastic! I have severe shoulder arthritis and wasn't ready for a surgical shoulder replacement and steroid injections were no longer working well. Dr. Pirozzolo recommended a new type of injection called platelet rich plasma or PRP. The downside, it isn't covered by insurance but it's been 3 months now and well worth it because my shoulder feels GREAT. I recommend Dr. Pirozzolo to all my friends and family. He and his staff are awesome!"

"I hurt my thumb pretty bad bowling and ended up coming to Orlando Hand Surgery to have it looked at. You're able to fill out all the paperwork online prior to your appointment, which speeds up the process. They also take x-rays on site, which is awesome! The doctor is able to look at the x-rays right at your appointment and let you know what's wrong. I ended up spraining my thumb severely and needed to get back to bowling ASAP. Dr. P. was able to fix me up fairly quickly with some added physical therapy and I'm back to bowling, as good as new! I ended up going to see Dr. P. three times and I never had to wait more than 10 minutes in the waiting room for my appointment, which was amazing! I was in and out within 30 minutes every time. Dr. P. is very personable and I'd recommend him to anyone."
